The learners choose their two favourite destinations from a further set of 4 pictures.

We focus on three utterances in which the woman becomes more and more angry, matching mildly angry, very and angry and furious to her intonation.

I show the class a picture of three holiday destinations. They pick the one they think I would like.

The learners listen to two people disagreeing about where to go for a holiday. She wants a city break; he wants to lie on a beach.

The learners answer some multiple-choice questions on the text and identify, in pairs, the people's main reasons for their choices. There should be no unknown words.

The learners walk around and mingle to find someone who has the same two destinations. They compare the reasons for their choice.
