Teacher-yourself transcription: consonants

Here, you can get a little practice in transcribing consonants only.

There are 24 consonant sounds in English and this little test asks you to transcribe all of them.
For now, you can ignore the vowels in the words and only transcribe the first consonant sound you hear.

It works like this:

  1. Play the audio from here.
    You can pause the recording at any time and go back to anything you want to hear again by dragging the progress bar.
    As you listen, transcribe the first consonant sound you hear in each word.
