If a learner misunderstands what she hears on a tape

What is the

Group
errors are made by more
than one learner in the class and may mean that
something has been badly explained or taught and
needs to be revisited
with the whole class.
Individual errors are only made by one learner and probably mean that he or she is the only one in the class who makes the mistake so it should not form the topic of a lesson for the whole group. |

error is a mistake in pronunciation, stressing or

A
referential error
is a mistake in vocabulary choice.
